“ Jack's is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast while passing through or staying in Bishop CA. They have great hamburgers, love the fresh bread for the buns. But I go mainly for their pies. The peach pie is so great it's the first one I will ask for. Their apple is great and their berry pies are awesome. Before I leave Bishop I will always stop and purchase whole pies to take home for me and my friends. While purchasing my pies on my last trip I saw that they started serving chorizo and eggs. I can't wait to try it on my next trip to that area. But for now, I am enjoying my slice of peach pie. ”
“ We were seated quickly and the water brought much needed coffee right away. We ordered our breakfast and it was served piping hot. I have an affection for diners and Jacks did not disappoint. It presented a relaxed ambiance and felt homey. Definitely will be back our next time in Bishop ”
“ This is a nice diner to stop at otw to and from mammoth. They're known for their corner beef hash which is something I love to try when available. The staff was very attentive and nice and very quick on the uptake of refilling our water or coffees. The meals came out at a reasonable time. The decor is full of record fish catches in the local area I assume. The corned beef hash breakfast combo was great. The corn beef hash had a nice char and sear with the potatoes and onions in it. The hash browns and eggs were done well and the toast wasn't dry which was excellent. The group also got gravy and that was very good! ”
“ We stopped here today for breakfast on our way out of town. First time. The staff was the friendliest! Our server was Sierra, and she was so sweet and accommodating and very prompt on our order. I wish I would've known the name of the gentleman that served our coffee and waters. A young guy with blonde hair. He was so kind. Our food was delicious... Highly recommend the biscuits and gravy, the pancakes, and the vegetarian omelette! Usually when Cafe's have a lot of trinkets and paraphernalia on their walls, it's very dusty and dated... this diner has obviously been tended to and cared for. It's obvious that cleanliness matters and the importance of things being dusted and cleaned is important for the whole vibe of the place. Was a fantastic experience and will definitely be back when we travel through town! ”
